As a Palliative Care Volunteer Visitor, you'll provide companionship and social support to people receiving palliative care in their own homes. Through conversation, shared interests, and simply being present, you'll help reduce social isolation and bring comfort, connection, and joy to someone's day. ๐
โค๏ธ About the People You'll Support
The people we support are adults receiving palliative care at home who may be experiencing social isolation due to illness, reduced mobility, or changing life circumstances. They are looking for a friendly volunteer to spend time with them, share a conversation, and enjoy regular companionship.

Interests vary from person to person and may include:
Chatting over a cup of tea
Reading and sharing stories
Listening to music
Playing board games
Gardening
Talking about family history and life experiences
Watching sport
Arts and crafts

As a volunteer, you'll provide:

Must be 18 years of age or older
๐ฎ National Police Check required (provided and paid for by HammondCare)
