About Us

At the Catherine Hamlin Fistula Foundation, we are dedicated to eradicating obstetric fistula and restoring the lives of women in Ethiopia. Founded by pioneering Australian surgeon Dr Catherine Hamlin AC, our team in Ethiopia has provided life-changing treatment to over 82,000 women, built six specialised fistula hospitals, a midwifery college, and supports over 90 rural Hamlin-supported midwifery clinics.

Why We Need You

On Thursday, 27th August, we are hosting our biggest fundraising event of the year: Raise2Restore Giving Day.

For 12 hours only, every dollar donated will be DOUBLED by generous donors. We are on a mission to urgently upgrade failing water infrastructure across our hospital and rural midwifery clinics—because there is no safe healthcare without clean water.

What You’ll Be Doing

We’re looking for warm, friendly volunteers to join us at our vibrant Pyrmont office in Sydney for a high-energy, fun-filled day!

Your role will include:

• Calling our wonderful past donors to let them know their gift will be doubled today (Strictly NO cold calling—you'll be talking to people who already love our work!)
• Taking incoming phone donations and processing them online.
• Soaking up the electric office atmosphere (cheers go up every time a donation comes in!).
• Optional: Joining in on some fun social media photos/videos throughout the day.
