Site Maintenance Volunteer

Key Responsibilities: Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks to keep the Burribi Centre clean, safe and well maintained. This includes sweeping, mopping, dusting and general cleaning of public areas, enclosures and facilities.
Groundskeeping:
- Assist in maintaining the grounds surrounding the Burribi Centre including gardening, landscaping, and ensuring the outdoor areas are presentable and safe for volunteers and visitors.
Repairs
- Help identify and report any needed repairs or maintenance issues, such as plumbing, electrical or structural concerns to the Volunteer Co-ordinator.
Safety
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe environment for visitors, volunteers and koalas.
Inventory Management
- Assist in managing supplies and equipment used for maintenance tasks.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with other volunteers and Volunteer Co-ordinators to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
Qualifications

Physical fitness and the ability to perform maintenance and cleaning tasks.

Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness.

Availability to commit to the specified hours or days.

Willingness to follow safety protocols and work in a controlled environment.

Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Passion for koala conservation and the desire to contribute to the well being of koalas.
Training:
- Training will be provided to familiarise you with the Friends of the Koala maintenance protocols, safety procedures and equipment usage.
