At 4 Voices, we support women to feel connected, capable and confident as they navigate life’s challenges. Through our frontline outreach, phone support and digital services, we assist women experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, isolation and hardship with practical support, connection and care.

As a Phone Triage & Referral Volunteer, you will play an important frontline role as one of the first points of contact for women reaching out for support. You will provide a calm, respectful and trauma-informed intake experience, helping ensure each woman is safely connected with the most appropriate support pathways.

This role suits someone who is empathetic, professional and confident balancing compassionate conversations with structured information gathering.

Remote volunteer opportunity | Minimum one weekday per week (Monday–Friday) | Hours flexible and discussed with team

Your Role:

• Respond to enquiries via phone and digital channels in a professional and trauma-informed manner
• Conduct initial needs and risk assessments to understand urgency and support requirements
• Triage enquiries in line with organisational guidelines and referral pathways
• Provide information about available supports and services
• Facilitate appropriate internal and external referrals where needed
• Escalate urgent or high-risk matters in accordance with procedures
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of interactions
• Support management of the main phone line to ensure women receive timely responses
