Little Wings is an Australian children’s charity that provides free, professional and safe air and ground transport for seriously ill children and their families living in regional and remote NSW, QLD and ACT. Our mission is to ensure that children who need specialised medical care in major children's hospitals can access it, no matter how far from the city they live.

Join the Little Wings Green Team Volunteer Crew!

Are you passionate about helping children and making a positive impact on the environment? Little Wings is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our Green Team.

Why It Matters

Every can and bottle collected through the Return and Earn program helps raise money that contributes to funding Little Wings flights. These flights provide free air and ground transport for seriously ill children in rural and regional communities, ensuring they can access life-saving medical treatment.

Volunteer With Purpose

By joining our Green Team, you'll be helping reduce waste, support recycling, and contribute directly to keeping Little Wings planes in the air for children and families who need them most.

What You'll Do

As a Green Team Volunteer, you will:

• Drive the Little Wings van to designated collection locations.
• Collect bins of eligible Return and Earn cans and bottles.
• Transport the collected items back to Little Wings HQ in Bankstown.
• Help support our sustainability initiatives while raising vital funds for our mission.

What We're Looking For

• Reliable and community-minded volunteers.
• Ability to lift and move collection bins safely.
• A passion for helping families and supporting environmental sustainability.

Requirements

• Current, valid unrestricted full Australian Driver’s Licence
• Traffic history report
• Current Working with Children Check
• National Police Check
• Minimum 2 years driving experience with excellent skills and an exemplary record
• Confidence and competence driving a larger vehicle (van)
