Could you spare just an hour a week or fortnight to help someone feel connected again?

We're looking for a friendly, caring volunteer to visit a lovely older lady who lives independently in the Mount Martha area. She would love the companionship of someone who shares her interests and enjoys spending time together.

Barbara enjoys:

• Working on jigsaw puzzles.
• Knitting, craft and creative activities.
• Sharing a cuppa and a friendly chat.
• Gentle walks around the local neighbourhood when the weather is nice.

If you enjoy meaningful conversation, are patient and kind, and would like to build a genuine friendship with an older person, this could be the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. No special experience is needed—just a warm heart, a listening ear and the ability to visit regularly.

Your visits could help Barbara reconnect with her community, reduce social isolation and create a friendship that you both look forward to each week.
