Make a meaningful difference in the lives of older people in our community.

Community Home Care Inc. (trading as Belong at Home) is a respected not-for-profit organisation dedicated to supporting older people to live independently in their homes and remain connected to their communities across the South West region of WA. As we continue to grow and navigate a changing aged care environment, we are seeking enthusiastic and experienced individuals to join our Board of Directors as Volunteer Board Members.

About the Role

As a Board Member, you will contribute to the strategic direction, governance, and long-term sustainability of the organisation. Working collaboratively with fellow Directors and executive leadership, you will help ensure Belong at Home continues to deliver high-quality services and positive outcomes for the people we support.

We are particularly interested in candidates who possess expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Governance and Board Leadership
    • Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) or equivalent governance qualification
    • Strong understanding of board governance, risk management, and strategic oversight
  • Legal, Regulatory and Policy
    • Experience in legal practice, compliance, regulation, public policy, or governance frameworks
    • Knowledge of the aged care, health, community services, or not-for-profit sectors is highly regarded
  • Commercial Finance and Corporate Services
    • Senior leadership experience in finance, accounting, corporate services, business operations, or organisational development
    • Understanding of financial sustainability, risk management, and business growth

Commitment

This is a voluntary, unpaid position however there are opportunities available for professional development and reimbursement of expenses.

Meetings are held in Bunbury, Western Australia, with some participation opportunities available via technology when appropriate.
