Kidsafe Victoria is an independent not‑for‑profit organisation dedicated to preventing unintentional injury and death to children through education, advocacy and research.
We are seeking an inspiring strategic leader to join us as Chair of the Board. This is a voluntary, unremunerated role for a three-year term (with the opportunity for a further term), commencing October 2026.
About the Role
As chair, you will provide strategic leadership to the Board and the organisation, overseeing governance and financial sustainability, and working closely with the CEO to guide Kidsafe Victoria through its next phase of growth. You will also act as a key ambassador, expanding the organisation's network, and driving strategic partnerships across government, philanthropic and corporate sectors.
About You

Demonstrated leadership experience at the Board or Executive level.

Expertise in governance, risk, and financial management.

Strong networking and relationship-building skills to support strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement**.**
Commitment
This commitment requires approximately 10 hours a month, including attendance at monthly Board meetings (typically held from 7:00–8:00 pm AEST), monthly Finance, and Governance & Risk Committee meetings as needed.
Meetings are generally conducted remotely, but the person will be required to attend regular face-to-face meetings and events with stakeholders.
Note: Appointment is subject to a Working with Children Check and National Police Record Check.
