You’ll be joining a friendly, collaborative team of volunteers. Based in the museum shop and at the admissions desk, you’ll welcome visitors, handle admissions, assist with shop sales, and take care of routine administrative tasks such as bookings and messages. You’ll also help with start- and end-of-day procedures and have the opportunity to learn about other areas of the museum.

We’re looking for people who can commit to at least four regular hours per week, though seven hours is ideal. The museum is currently open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10am to 4pm, and Saturdays from 10am to 2pm. As more volunteers join, we hope to be open seven days a week.

The museum welcomes visitors from all over the world, and we aim to make every visit special. We’re looking for friendly, courteous volunteers who enjoy helping people, are reliable, and are happy to go the extra mile.

Training will be provided on visitor orientation, museum procedures, and our easy-to-use point-of-sale system.

Our spacious meal room has a microwave, fridge, air fryer oven, toaster, and pod coffee machine, with tea, coffee, and biscuits always available.
