Sugarloaf Point Reserve Bushcare Group - Mondays

Sugarloaf Point is located on the banks of the Lane Cove River. We care for areas of Estuarine Mangrove Forest; Estuarine Swamp Oak Forest; Coastal Sandstone Gully Forest and Estuarine Saltmarsh. Our bushcare group is achieving a lot on a very large site. We use recognised bushcare techniques to eradicate weeds and encourage natives plants; encourage small native birds and lizards; learn about plants and animals; get outdoors and be active; and help protect a natural hidden gem. Experience is not necessary. You will receive on the spot training and can attend periodic workshops. It is an opportunity to meet people with similar interests, as well as learning about the natural, cultural and historical heritage of Lane Cove National Park.
Benefits for bushcare volunteers include: •A chance to make a positive difference to our environment •New friends with similar interests •Exercise •Training •Work experience •Free entry into NSW National Parks •Newsletter and formal recognition
