🐾 Share the Love – Volunteer With Your Pet at Braeside Hospital 💛🏥
Imagine the joy your furry companion can bring to someone’s day. At Braeside Hospital, patients truly treasure the warmth, comfort, and gentle distraction that a friendly animal can offer 🐶✨.
By visiting with your well‑mannered pet, you’ll create moments of connection that feel calming, uplifting, and deeply meaningful. Patients love the chance to pat your four‑legged friend, hear stories about them, and enjoy simple, heartwarming conversation 🐾💬.
It’s a beautiful way to make a long‑term, lasting impact—not just through your time, but through the unique healing presence only an animal can bring 🌿💖.
As you're bringing your pet into a care environment with frail and elderly residents or patients, we ask that your pet is:
- Calm and gentle in nature
- Up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas
- Nails should be short and blunt. Freshly cut nails can be sharp if not filed down.
- Dogs should be kept on a lead always.
Your impact
Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
HammondCare
HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people receiving care at Braeside Hospital.
