Digital Fundraising Coordinator (Volunteer/Remote)

Genetic Alliance Australia

Logo for Genetic Alliance Australia

Genetic Alliance Australia (GAA) is a national umbrella organisation supporting Australians living with rare, genetic, and undiagnosed conditions.

There are more than 7,000 known rare conditions, around 80% of which are genetic in origin. Fewer than 5% have an approved treatment. For families navigating an ultra-rare or undiagnosed condition, the experience is often one of profound isolation and uncertainty. Finding support, information, and connection with others who understand can be life-changing.

About the role

We are building a new Raisely site to sit alongside our redeveloped website, and we need a hands-on volunteer to lead this work. This is a foundational role: you will set up the platform, integrate it with our website, and leave us with the templates and documentation our small team can run with after handover. You will work directly with the CEO and have real ownership of the build.

What you will do

  • Configure GAA's new Raisely site, including campaigns, donation forms, branding, and donor journey
  • Integrate Raisely with the new GAA website
  • Set up donor data flows, receipting, and acknowledgement automations.
  • Build a small library of campaign templates (one-off appeals, peer-to-peer, monthly giving) for GAA staff to deploy after handover
  • Document the build so the work is sustainable beyond your tenure

What we are looking for

  • Hands-on experience with Raisely, or comparable platform experience and confidence in learning Raisely quickly
  • Comfortable working independently and remotely
  • Clear written communication and good documentation habits
  • Motivated by building something useful for a small national organisation in the rare disease space
