Fundraising Strategy Advisor (Volunteer/Remote)

We are developing an integrated fundraising strategy and are seeking a senior fundraising practitioner to work alongside the CEO to shape it. This is a foundational piece of work that will guide GAA's fundraising for the next three years and beyond. You will have direct access to the CEO and visibility to the board. The work will be substantive, strategic, and genuinely shaping.
What you will do
- Conduct an environmental scan of GAA's current fundraising position, assets, and constraints
- Develop a three-year fundraising strategy with a year-one operational plan
- Map prospects across major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners aligned to rare disease, genomics, and health equity
- Recommend the infrastructure, governance, and capacity needed to deliver the strategy
- Produce a clear handover document the board and CEO can act on
What we are looking for
- Senior fundraising experience, ideally 10+ years across the not-for-profit sector
- Strategic generalist across individual giving, major donors, philanthropy, and corporate partnerships
- Health, disability, or rare disease sector context welcomed but not essential
- Comfortable sitting at peer level with a CEO and board, and motivated by foundational rather than maintenance work
