Warrah is a not-for-profit organisation located on beautiful bushland in Dural, NSW and is dedicated to supporting people living with disability to lead an engaging and fulfilling life.

On Saturday 12th of September Warrah holds one of the most beloved events on our campus, the Warrah Spring Picnic. An event that has grown into not only a coming together of Warrah participants, family, staff but also our broader community and folks who have never visited Warrah before.

The Spring Picnic offers various schools, musical and dance groups, and individuals the opportunity to perform on the Spring Picnic stage throughout the day. The Spring Picnic event area also includes multiple food and market stalls that makes up our festive Marketplace as well an activities area for kids.

We are looking for a Spring Picnic Event Volunteer, with organisational flair in bringing things together, to work with our Events Coordinator using existing planning guidelines and templates. As well as alongside our Spring Picnic Committee with the following:

• Reach-out to existing and new stall holders to secure positions for our “Marketplace” as well as positioning of all stalls

• Reach-out to existing and new organisations and sponsors to secure donations to the Spring Picnic Raffle

• Reach-out to existing and new schools, organisations, and individuals to secure a full line-up of performances for the day

• Work with Volunteer Coordinator to secure volunteers to assist with additional staffing of stalls, Chocolate Wheel, Raffle draw, etc.

• Actively participate in Spring Picnic Committee meetings

• Support an enthusiastic team of staff and volunteers through planning and coordination as assigned

• Be in attendance on the day of the Spring Picnic starting from 7am to 4pm on Saturday 12th September for event set-up and pack-down

• Experience in Event planning helpful
