KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Candidates must be located on the Sunshine Coast.
  • Support the HAP executive, webmaster and social media consultant in their roles and establish targets for increasing reach of audience.
  • Liaise with the HAP Partnerships and membership to keep the website up to date
  • Engage in public relations, promotions and marketing
  • Assist team and social media consultant to create and write editorials and radio scripts to reach out to the audience. Contribute to the newsletters and events.
  • Support webmaster to update the HAP website and maintain all the social media accounts.
  • Post regular updates of HAP in social media, including newsletter, blog posts, press releases, fund raising appeals and any other promotional items.
  • Assist and guide HAP President/Secretary and board to design and create brochures, flyers and documents.
  • Work along with the Board to come up with new and creative ideas to promote HAP.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Essential:

  • Proficient in computers, including:

    • Own PC for use in the role
    • Microsoft Office Suite
    • Social media outlets (Facebook. Twitter & Community blogs)
    • Photoshop, Canva, WordPress or similar program
    • Creating and managing websites an advantage
  • Current Police Check or Yellow Card or willing to obtain

  • Good understanding of social networking and ability to utilize it as an effective marketing tool.

  • Well developed and effective writing and editing skills, with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to use online tools to engage Partnerships and members, donors and other organisations.

  • Works well independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong organisation and time management skills.

  • Ability to understand, follow and adhere to HAP Policies and Procedures.

SUPPORT

To support you in carrying out your role, HAP will:

  • Provide a role- based email
  • Provide opportunity to develop and maintain skills through training and the volunteering experience;
  • Provide you with a sounding board, guidance and advice on issues of concern to you;
  • Provide positive and constructive feedback as necessary; and
  • Provide opportunity to engage with a diverse group of service providers as partners and sponsors.

Initial and ongoing Training requirement:

  • Mentoring by current HAP Secretary and President
  • Attend next available orientation session at HAP
  • Attend feedback/training sessions as required
