Indigenous Visitor Volunteer- Come chat to Indigenous residents

Do you identify as Indigenous and enjoy connecting with others through conversation, culture, and companionship?
We are seeking a caring and compassionate volunteer of Indigenous heritage to visit Indigenous residents living in our residential aged care home in Kingswood.
As an Indigenous Visitor Volunteer, you will provide social support and friendship through regular visits, helping residents stay connected to their culture, community, stories, and traditions.
What You'll Do
- Spend time chatting and building meaningful connections with residents
- Share stories, experiences, and cultural knowledge where appropriate
- Provide companionship and a friendly face
- Support residents' wellbeing through regular social visits
- Help foster a sense of belonging and cultural connection
What's Involved?
- Flexible volunteering hours
- Regular visits, typically weekly or fortnightly
- Ongoing support provided by our volunteer team
