About the Role

Wesley Aged Care Volunteer Visitors is a service that brings friendship, hope and companionship to older people who may be feeling lonely or socially isolated. We are looking for a caring and reliable male volunteer to visit an elderly gentleman in the Cherrybrook area and

• Create welcoming spaces for women to connect and feel valued
• Assist with practical tasks, activities, and provide digital support
• Receive training, guidance, and support to make a meaningful impact

• Lead volunteer team to create safe, welcoming community connections
• Coordinate setup, activities, and debrief for positive team environment
• Experience in community services or related field beneficial

• Lead and support volunteers in creating community connections
• Develop volunteer capability and ensure reliable, safe shifts
• Induction, training, and ongoing support provided for volunteer leadership

• Provide exceptional customer service and promote Lifeline's mission
• Assist with sorting, pricing, and merchandising donated goods
• Support store operations, maintain cleanliness, and adhere to procedures

• Perform garden maintenance tasks like weeding, pruning, and mulching
• No experience or training required; all tools provided on-site
• Support older community members to live independently at home

• Support socially isolated aged care recipients in Frenchs Forest
• Engage with individuals facing mobility or communication impairments
• Training provided; commit to regular visits for at least an hour

• Support older people, those with disability, mental illness
• Flexible volunteer roles fitting around availability and schedule
• Free Police Check, training, and ongoing support provided

• Engage in various activities like tai chi, knitting, and chatting

• Portuguese-speaking volunteer to provide companionship to Maria
