Our organisation supports older people who live alone or have few social connections to help improve their well-being. Our programs match those not in regular social contact with people with caring and friendly volunteers. This role involves personal visiting, including social conversations and can include social outings and group activities. This is a Commonwealth-funded Aged Care Program with no charges to the client. This role is available in locations around Cessnock and surrounding suburbs

• Perform day-to-day gardening tasks in heritage garden
• Training provided on conservation policies and safe work procedures
• Contribute to well-maintained gardens for visitor enjoyment and events

• Prepare and serve food, set up refreshments for guests
• Engage with visitors, promote National Trust activities
• Training provided in food handling, customer service, Safe Work procedures

• Staying updated on historical research and delivering engaging tours
• Contributing to conservation efforts and gaining in-depth historical knowledge

• Developing volunteer roster and managing coverage for toy library
• Coordinating volunteer communication, training, and recruitment efforts.
• Approx. 1-2 hours weekly, occasional in-person attendance for inductions
