Volunteer in one of Australia's most significant national institutional buildings managed by a dynamic and supportive team!

Working with the theatre team, you will be with the patient and their family in the waiting area prior to going into the operating theatres. You will then assist in escorting the parent/carer to the operating room and, once their child is asleep, back to the lifts that go to the hospital waiting areas. There is a moderate amount of walking through the theatre corridors; however, there are allocated areas for you to rest between patients.

• Conduct guided tours of Naval history sites in Sydney
• Work with a team of volunteers from diverse backgrounds
• Training provided; commitment of at least 6 hours weekly

• Deliver engaging presentations on naval history during cruises
• Utilize PowerPoint, public speaking skills, and add interesting commentary
• Training provided, no prior naval experience required, team support

• Conduct guided tours and sell tickets at historical site
• Work in team with property manager and fellow volunteers
• Training provided in National Trust procedures and historical research

• Utilize conservation cleaning techniques for designated objects
• Monitor object condition, move objects as needed, record observations
• Training in conservation cleaning, object handling, collection management

• Assist with monthly outings for independent young people with disability
• Accompany group on various outings like Zoo, Luna Park, movies
• Guide on public transport, assist with ordering food, checking change

• Assist with venue hire enquiries and support visitors at events
• Contribute to conservation and engage with the community
• Training provided on site history and familiarization with staff

• Lead small group tours at historical and ecological sites
• Contribute to conservation and preservation of natural and cultural heritage
• Engage with community and gain in-depth historical knowledge

• Assist with event coordination, set up, and guest experience
• Receive on-the-job training in hygiene, customer service, and operations
• Contribute to National Trust's income-generating activities and gain experience

• Assist in conservation cleaning and object handling
• Training in conservation cleaning and collection management provided.
• Contribute to preservation of historic objects and gain valuable skills
