Neuroblastoma Australia is a registered children's cancer charity, looking for a general office support person to assist with tasks at our office in North Sydney. This may include helping pack and post items, organise cupboards, help with stock counts, prize sourcing and data entry
Looking for bump in and out volunteers to set up and pack down fundraising events for Bear Cottage - Children's Hospice Manly.
Working with the theatre team, you will be with the patient and their family in the waiting area prior to going into the operating theatres. You will then assist in escorting the parent/carer to the operating room and, once their child is asleep, back to the lifts that go to the hospital waiting areas. There is a moderate amount of walking through the theatre corridors; however, there are allocated areas for you to rest between patients.
Make a difference in children's and families lives by volunteering in the family home. Get to know the family by visiting weekly to provide meaningful support and practical help for families who have a child with a life limiting illness. Arabic speakers are desirable for this role but not compulsory. Applications from mature minded volunteers with life experience is encouraged.
Palliative Care Volunteers are trained workers who provide practical and emotional support to people with life limiting illness and their families.
Volunteers who play a musical instruments are required to play to palliative care patients
